Tell a Friend
Several times this week my office was shaking like crazy. I had to leave several times because the noise and vibrations were just too much for me. I had written all the commotion off as being from the construction going on in the parking garage below. I honestly didn't think anything of it when the rumbling started today. Next thing I knew something was reaching in through my office window. I turned to look and there was the grimey and boney hand reaching for me. I screamed and hit the thing as hard as I could with my computer's keyboard. The creature fell 11 floors down to the street below. Keyboard keys were everywhere (sorry IT). I went to pick up my phone to call for security, but it was dead. As I ran down the hallway toward the security desk the elevator door opened and 5 of them came onto the floor. I started running in the other direction. I was about to pull the emergency alarm to open the doors to the stairwell, but I could hear more of them pounding on the door. When I made my way back around toward the main desk where the security guard should be I found no sign of my coworkers until I saw Dave. Dave handed me his extra handgun--a Derringer. (What a gentleman, he kept the .357 for himself). Dave said that we were the only ones left. We shot our way through the three zombies that were blocking us from the elevators. When we got to the ground floor there were 5 more of them. One of them looked like Paul from the Newstand. When I got to the street is was crazy. Bill Cardille was trying to get interviews out on Stanwix Street. Channel 11 microphone in hand. Bill asked me how I escaped. I showed him the derringer. He said, "That pea shooter actually worked?" I said , "Yeah, they're dead. They're all messed up. Luckily these ones aren't all nimble like those ones in the newer movie."
